Password iCloud drive

I use a quite simple password to open my Macbook Pro 2018 but have a more complex password for my Apple id. When I now login in my iCloud via Safari I've been asked if I want to login via password and then I have to give the password that I use to open my MbPro. This worries me a bit as it is a simple password and logging into iCloud gives access to my Keychain as this is also in the Cloud. Is there any way to use the more complex password to get into my iCloud without having to use the complex password to open my MBPro?

More to it, going to my iCloud or iCloud drive I do not see my keychain. Where do I find my keychain in iCloud so I can see my passwords?

Thanks in advance.

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 11.0

When trying to login to www.icloud.com via the Safari browser, one doesn't require their MacBook Pro password but their Apple ID password.

This isn't making sense. Please rephrase.

One cannot find their iCloud Keychain at www.icloud.com.

Open www.icloud.com from a web browser it prompts to enter admin password , don't enter it and click on cancel .

Enter manually the Apple ID in the field and click on other passwords .

Again it prompts to enter admin password , enter the admin password in the field and click on unlock .

Tap the web site and and click on fill .

A pop window appears showing map location , click on on do not allow .

Now , you can change the password , using a more complex password https://support.apple.com/en-in/guide/mac-help/mchlp1088/10.14/mac/10.14 than the previous simple password .

The passwords are viewed by administrator from keychain access https://support.apple.com/en-in/guide/keychain-access/kyca1085/mac

Thanks for your reply.

"When trying to login to www.icloud.com via the Safari browser, one doesn't require their MacBook Pro password but their Apple ID password".

And yet, upon request when giving the simple password to open the MBPro I get access to my iCloud.

Meaning I do not want that my simple password used to unlock my MBPro is also used to enter my iCloud. I saw that answer from tygb below and will give this a try. Makes sense to me.

"One cannot find their iCloud Keychain at www.icloud.com."

So it is a hidden file?
