My iPhone 6S plus will not give an option to update
I have backed up my phone, have 10GB of space and have even turned my phone on and off. Still no option to update beyond version 12.sonething, Something... I would like IOS 14

if your iPhone says you are up to date with iOS 12 (12.4.9)
then you do not have a 6s plus, you have a 6 plus
you can check your iPhone model in Settings > General > About
Assuming it's a 6 plus, iOS 12 is the end of the line, you will need a newer iPhone to use newer iOS versions
