I received a phone call stating my some suspicious activity was occurring in my iCloud account. It said to press 1 to speak to a customer rep. I hung up thinking it wasn’t legit. Need help in confirming if this is Apples protocol.

All such calls are scams from criminals attempting to steal your personal and financial information. The callers will often use number spoofing to pretend they are calling from a legitimate business. The correct course of action is to ignore the calls or hang up on them, repeatedly if needed.

I did press 1 as instructed to talk to a rep but hung up about 5-10 seconds later. Do you think my info could be compromised in that short time. I never talked to anyone or entered anything other then pressing 1
