Emojis disappeared from predictive text boxes

Usually when I type something like “lol”, there would be the laughing emoji ( 😂 ) in the top right of the 3 text boxes at the top of the keyboard.

When I type “shrug”, this guy would pop up; 🤷‍♂️

I reset the dictionary because of some weird autocorrect issue (which is fixed) but now the emojis disappeared from the predictive text boxes and I must separately use the emoji keyboard.

So where there used to be 😂, instead it’s “lollipop” as the option when typing “lol.”

Any ideas?

Try this:

Type some random text and a bunch of emojis (say 20–30 of them) and send the message.

The keyboard should then have learned that you use emojis and suggest emojis going forward. You would have to repeat this for each app you want emojis suggested in.
