Associating Devices

When I try to install an app on my PC via my iPhone 7, and vice-versa, Google informs me that my "account is not yet associated with any device", & refers me to Google Play. So far, I still can't manage to associate my PC with my iPhone 7.

Can you tell us how are you trying to install an app on your PC through your iPhone 7? iPhones cannot be "associated" with a Windows PC without the use of iTunes and iCloud for Windows. I believe that you may be attempting to download a Google app from Google Play store which has nothing to do with an iPhone. Google Play is telling you that are no devices associated with your account because it is probably looking for an android based phone which use the Google Play Store.

What am I missing?

What do you mean by installing an app on your PC from your iPhone? There is no ability to install an app on a PC from an iPhone. Any app that works on the iPhone will not work on a PC. iOS and Windows are two separate operating systems. And you certainly cannot install anything from Google Play, that only works for Android devices.

You need to better explain what it is you are actually trying to do.
