Extracting an image from a pdf.

Hi there. I just bought the new MacBook Air M1 and it is working fantastic, however, I would like to extract images from pdfs I use for virtual table top rpgs, and preview doesn't seem to allow me to do this. On my iMac, I have adobe acrobat which allows seamless extraction. Basically, I click the image and drag it to a folder. Then I convert from tiff to png and it can be used. There doesn't seem to be adobe acrobatic for the Macbook. I know there are other pdf viewers out there, but none of them mention being able to extra images as one of the feature. Does anyone know of pdf reader that allows this? Thank you very much.
