Extracting an image from a pdf.

Like Rudegar, I'd just take a screenshot, but even though there is yet no version of Adobe optimized for Apple Silicon macs, I expect that the existing version will work under Rosetta 2 emulation. Did you try it?

why not just take a screenshot ?

Some pdf editors allow you to pull out images...did you try, there are many.

Screen shots default to pngs.

Adobe Acrobat Reader DC runs on M1 Macs.

It is supposed to be pretty much transparent.

The first time you launch an intel application, you will be asked to download Rosetta.

From them on, it will work behind the scenes. Most intel applications work.

You are only showing the Tool bar

The key board short cut when you are in Preview: Shift Command A

Or from the drop down Preview>View> Show Markup Toolbar
