It was the middle of the night when I fell when going to get water. My apple watch was locked in the sleep mode thing with the Digital Crown rotation to unlock. Well, fall detection didn’t do anything. I was fine, but I kept still to see if anything will happen. And nothing happened.
Does fall detection detect falls when in all these lock modes such as Sleep mode, Water lock and Schooltime?

Make sure that fall detection is enabled (there are certain instances where it will not enable automatically), and check out the various reasons why and why not a fall may not be detected:
