iPOD TOUCH NOT RECOGNIZED BY PC

My Ipod touch 5th Generation has its screen frozen on the Apple logo.

When I press the home + wake buttons, I manage to get the 'connect to Itunes' message. Fine.

The issue is that my IPod Touch is not recognised by my PC through the USB cable. I tried on a Mac through another USB cable, it's not recognised either. What can I do ?

Is the iTunes up to date on those computers? The drivers for iDevices is contained in iTunes. Try to update that then try again.
