Why won’t my MagSafe charge my new iPhone 12 pro?

What happens when you try? Did you purchase the 20w power adapter? Does the MagSafe charger center and attack to the phone? Do you have any case on the phone?
It dose’t charge. Nothing happens. I do have the 20w power adapter and a MagSafe case, but after trying to charge it with my friends MagSafe charger, It didn’t work either. I am guessing it’s something with the phone. Wold you recommend doing anything?
