DMTF tones iPhone 12

Today as it turned out I was getting a support call from Apple and when prompted to press "1" on the keypad the tone was not transmitted to the system and the call disconnected. I see scattered problems with this for earlier versions of ios and models of iphones. Anyone have anything to fix this? I am trying to get hold of a Verizon person.

1) Try and Force Restart your iPhone EXACTLY as shown below and see whether that resolves the issue:

  • Press and quickly release Volume UP button
  • Press and quickly release Volume DOWN button
  • Press and Hold the SIDE button until an Apple logo appears and then release the Side button (Can take up to 20 seconds. (DO NOT release Side Button when invited to Slide Power OFF). 


(2)  If the above does not work then - You will need Verizon to look into your ability to create and send DTMF (Dual Tone Multi Frequency) tones.
