YouTube on Apple TV pausing

Has anyone got a fix for the frustration in using YouTube on Apple TV?

It appears a recent software update has now resulted in the screen freezing if you pause it, this was never an issue until recently.

Once it’s paused the only way to get a video playing again is to go out of YouTube and back in again. I see a lot of people are having the same frustration and there’s talk of a new software version update coming to fix this.

I’ve tried all the possible solutions suggested, including using my iPhone as the remote and it makes no difference.
