Delivery times for MacBook Air are already past Christmas??

Was about to order a new MacBook Air for a Christmas present, but the expected delivery date is shown to be Dec. 30th?? Is there a reason these are not being delivered within a month of ordering or why so long?

If it cannot be delivered before Christmas, I will be delaying the purchase of a new laptop and may decide to switch to another type of laptop I suppose, I'm not stuck on replacing my old Apple with a new one at this point, the support that Apple is providing is very poor at this time, cannot schedule to meet someone at the local Apple Store either, and no chat available.
