Hi all. Like most people, I tend to go to bed a bit later on a Friday but for Sunday I (try to) go back to my weektime bedtimes. Obviously, this means that straightforward "weekday" and "weekend" schedules aren't likely to provide what I - or, I would expect, most people - want.
Is Apple Watch's schedule intelligent enough to factor this in?
I notice "bedtime" is listed before "wake up" - does this mean that, say, that Sunday's schedule covers Sunday evening and Monday morning? Or is it just Sunday morning and Sunday evening?
Thanks in advance :)
When you setup your sleep schedule, there is a option: Wind Down. Depending on how much time you allot to Wind Down, your bedtime reminder will either activate prior to midnight or after midnight.
(for eg. My bedtime is at 00:30 and my Wind Down is 45 minutes, so my bedtime reminder chimes in at 23:45 of the previous day or prior to midnight. I have set my sleep schedule M-F and I get my bedtime reminder for M on Sunday at 23:45).
(to continue with this illustration, had I set my Wind Down to 15 minutes, my bedtime reminder would happen at 00:15 of the current day or after midnight)
Based on what you have asked (you have not mentioned specific times, so I have just explained generally):
I suggest:
- you set one schedule for M-F and another (yes it is possible to have multiple schedules) for SS
- for the first week, you also set an additional alarm to wakeup in the Clock app (5 minutes after your wakeup in your Sleep Schedule) ... so that you do not miss work ;) in case of an error/misunderstanding during setup.
