CAN NO LONGER AIRPLAY from MacBook Air to AppleTV

Since upgrading to Big Sur, the Airplay icon that use to reside in my menu bar has disappeared. I opened Display Preferences, pulled down the Airplay menu, selected my AppleTV, and I get Screen Mirroring. I opened the new Control Center, but the only option is Screen Mirroring. Either I am missing something, or Apple has disappeared this beloved Airplay option. I found my exact problem in the Developer Forum, for the beta version of Big Sur. But if there was a solution, it did not appear there.

Anyone else?
