Automatic Device Switching issues

Hi there,

I have recently purchased the beats solo pro headphones and am currently trying to use the auto switching feature between my Mac and iPhone. They both have the latest software (Big Sur and IOS 14.2.

However the device switching I seem to keep running into problems with. It switches from my Mac to my Phone okay (Expect sometimes I need to pause the video or song to get it to change over) but going from phone to Mac it keeps switching to the internal speakers and microphone in the sounds setting as opposed to the headphones. Is it possible to fix this? Sometimes it also switches but no sound comes out. I do try to give it time in case it can't connect quick enough as well as using native apps like Apple Music to make sure it isn't as issue with the browser that's causing the problems.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Since you're continuing to have issues with automatic switching, let's follow the steps here:

Switch AirPods automatically between iPhone and other devices

If the issue persists after that, have you already reset your Beats as outlined in the article we previously provided you? If so, see if this occurs in safe mode:

Start up your Mac in safe mode

Hi there. I have tried in safe mode (including resetting the beats) I can now get it to switch back and forth (but can’t say it’s seamless) occasionally I need to click a song twice in Apple Music but think this could be more a delay in the beats trying to reconnect.

it does seem much better though in safe mode

I have tried in safe mode, it works. but in normal mode, still not work. I hope apple fix it in next version.

Hi there Karina ,

I am still continuing to experience problems getting the beats solo pro to switch from my iPhone X to my IMac 2014 (with Big Sur installed) but can get it to go the other way from my iMac to my IPhone.

I am hoping with the new release of the AirPods Max that this can be fixed. Seems to be fine for iPhone and IPad but not Macs ( as it keeps switching to the Macs internal speakers)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
