Help with "auto login" at startup....

In my MacBook Pro (2015), why is my "Auto login" grayed out in the startup items? I don't want to have to login every time I start the computer.

If you have FileVault encryption enabled— you can not use automatic log in

>System Preferences>Security & Privacy>File Vault

If it is fully finished the encryption process, only then can you select the de-cryption from preferences.

Decryption occurs in the background as you use your Mac, and only while your Mac is awake and plugged in to AC power. You can check progress in the FileVault section of Security & Privacy preferences.
