Can't run Youtube in the background after installing 14.2

I normally run Youtube in the background while I do my work on other apps, but now after the update, the video goes silent as soon as I minimize the safari window. Used to be able to run it anyway as long as I opened another tab, but now that option is lost. Can I somehow fix this, or can I remove the update?
