Pricing in App Store

Other questions have been asked about how to get the price of an item in the App Store and the answer comes back something like this:

"If there is a cost to the app, it will show the cost in the button instead of Get." That was a January 2020 post.

Here is a 2015 post:

"Tap on the name or preview image of the app > scroll down - below the description - to where it says "In-App Purchases" > tap this to see all in-app purchases and their prices"

I have purchased apps before and It doesn't work like that anymore. If I hit the GET button, I get a window telling me to Touch ID to Install, at which time it says "processing payment", followed by an OPEN button which means I now have the app on my phone. So far no mention of cost. I have one "purchase" for the camera app RAW+ which I don't know the price of but its on my phone.

I searched on GOOGLE for the price of RAW+ on the app store ("how much does the Raw+ app cost on the app store?") and got a response "This app is available only on the App Store for iPhone. ... has always been achallenge and RAW+ helps by retaining so much ... Price: Free."

What's so hard about saying "FREE" in the first place.

Raw+ is free only for the first 100 shots. Then it is $1.99

The way it works currently is that if there is a price to download the app (i.e., not free to use permanently or for a trial) that price will show instead of "Get."

If you can download it for free (but may or may not have to pay later) the button will say "Get." If you want full details before downloading, don't click the Get button until after you have done the following as stated in your post:

"Tap on the name or preview image of the app > scroll down - below the description - to where it says "In-App Purchases" > tap this to see all in-app purchases and their prices"

Recently they have also made a section showing in-app purchases more visibly just above the Information section in the App listing as well as in the Information section .
