4k vs 5k external monitor for M1 Macbook Pro

I'm planning on using my MBP as my desktop computer (with external monitor) and get rid of my iMac

Since my iMac has a 5K display, I was thinking that's what I would want to use with my MBP (so it wouldn't feel like a "downgrade"!).

My needs don't go much beyond photo editing and general computer use. My understanding is that 5K monitors are useful for folks doing video editing, allowing them to see their 4K video at native rez, with extra screen real estate available for the editing toolbars, etc.

So to my question: putting cost aside, is there any reason I would want a 5K over a 4K monitor? (I'm thinking of the offerings by LG).
