The USB-A to USB-C adapter I bought when I purchased my MacBook Pro has stopped working ever since I updated my Mac to Big Sur. I tried it on a MacBook Pro that had not been updated, and it worked fine. Did Apple remove support for third-party adapters in Big Sur?

You'd have to ask Apple - we are just other users like you. Personally, I have not read anything, but that does not necessarily mean anything. Have you tried using an Apple adapter to test?
