Account in iCloud and iMessage don’t match

I have been unable activate my iMessages on my iPhone 8 Plus due to an error saying iCloud and iMessages accounts don’t match and I logged in with same Apple ID on my device. Please help

In Settings, find what email you are using under the top cell (with your name as the cell title). You have your Apple ID mentioned here, which is your iCloud ID too.

Then, go to Messages, then under there go to Send & Receive, then click on your Apple ID, and sign out if the ID does not match the ID found earlier, and log back in with the matching email.
