trying to recover iphone x and wont connect to itunes

My Iphone X is stuck with the apple logo on it. I try the reboot with the volumes and lock screens and all it does it cycle back to the same thing. Ive plugged into my windows desktop and opened itunes and try the reboot and still the same thing. Whats the fix?
