How long does it take for Apple to issue ‘shipped return’ refunds??
I originally started the return process on my MacBook Pro on about Nov 21st. I decided to ship it in, since our store is quite far away and I didn’t want to drive out there. I felt there was no issue in mailing it in, since apparently, according to Apple’s refund page, “the refund will be initiated immediately” when it arrives to the facility. It arrived Wed Nov 25th. And yet, for some reason I haven’t received a refund, or even an email telling me that the facility has received my return. In fact, it’s still telling me to mail it. So I contacted Apple at least 3 times now. And each time they say, “It’s showing that is was delivered to our return facility on Nov 25th. Give a couple of days for them to inspect the item.” WHAT??!! A couple of days??? To inspect the item??? And inspecting the item makes total sense, but why will this take days?? My delivery confirmation shows it was delivered and signed by an actual human. How long does it take to open a box and say “okay this is spotless.”??What happened to immediate refunds, anyways?? Every employee I ask just says “wait a couple days” like, for what? I’m just so disappointed. They have their product back, and yet I haven’t received my refund. I was expecting an immediate refund upon delivery like their website states. How long does the whole refund process usually take? A week? More? Idc about the refund processing part, I just want to know when will they ISSUE the refund so that it can BEGIN processing. Seriously Apple, this is insane. I literally have $1500 just floating somewhere and the only response I get is “keep waiting”. At lease a company should give you a certain time frame like 48 hours or 3-5 days. Also the photo attached is a current photo. No idea why it’s lagging behind but the item is definitely delivered and Apple knows this.
