How to transfer data with sim card to new phone, if old phone will not turn on.

My iphone is not turning on, but it shows that it is charging. It has been charging for hours and will not turn on, It is iphone 6s. I already tried to hold the home and power button, nothing changed. I tried to switch the sim card to other iphone 6s I have, but it wont let me transfer data without the other phone being turned on.

I tried to see if I could do anything through itunes on my laptop, but no devices show up on itunes (music) on my mac.

iPhone 6s, iOS 14

First - the sim card does not transfer data. It effectively just transfers your phone number and connection service.

To transfer data from an old phone to a new one you need a backup of the old phone that can be loaded onto the new phone. Do you have a recent backup?
