I tried to trade an iPad Air in really good condition, but it was sent back to me “rejected” with no explanation. Then I called the Apple support line and waited on hold 19 minutes before I heard some clicks and a dial tone. Very frustrating! Anyone know why a trade-in would be rejected?

In most cases, Apple uses third party companies to handle these. You would need to check with that company as to why they rejected it as they are the ones making the final decision. Did you take pictures of it before mailing it in?
They sent it back to me already, so I don’t need photos, but no indication of the reason or the company. The return address is AI in Elk Grove, CA. This is the email I got, but it’s in really good condition.
You really would need to contact Apple as it appears they were the ones in this case. We really would not have any idea since we are all other users here and do not work for Apple.
