do not understand new magic keyboard

I just purchased a new iMac. The keyboard is driving me nuts. The keys which give you brackets are still to the right of the P, but are not labeled as such. Likewise, there are three keys to the right of the L (not 2 as on my previous keyboard) and again, they are not labeled properly. Hitting them give you the semicolon, colon and backward slash yet the keys read semicolon, E and A. The 3 keys to the right of the M give you the comma, period and forward slash, but are labeled comma, period and E (at least 2 of them are correct). These are only lowercase examples. I won’t list uppercase examples other than to say thaf if you want a question mark, you have to know that you need to strike shift E. Well, okay, the question mark shows on the numeral 6 key, but it does not work, even with the shift key. What is going on here?????

It sounds like you have a French Canadian keyboard. What language did you want? Normally you choose the keyboard when you order the machine. If you want the printing on the keys to match what gets typed, you can fix that in system preferences. But if you want a different printing on the keyboard, you need to contact the place where you bought the Mac.
