My texts only say delivered even if the person opens them and texts back it still says delivered even if they open it and text a response back what does this mean?

not delivering my messages? i was texting my bf earlier and suddenly my messages stopped showing “delivered” but he was still receiving them and his also werent marked as “delivered” but i was still receiving them. this is so weird and annoying pls help :,)

The people you are sending the texts to need to turn on Send Read Receipts.
