I just got the iPhone 12 Pro Max and when I take photos, and then go to look at the photo, the phone appears to auto-enhance the photo. Is there a way to turn this off? It's making some of my photos (mainly with people in them) look terrible. It's over-exposing and over-saturating the photo and no amount of editing can make it look normal after that. It's extremely frustrating.

Turn off the this ‘View Full HDR’ in Settings>Photos>View Full HDR and the issue will be resolved.

Unfortunately it’s happening during the day time. Lighting is great but then once you take the photo, it auto-enhances and over exposes people’s faces and makes them look extremely creepy.
Looks like many people are having the same issue as me with no solution. Any tips on exact settings to adjust in order to stop the auto-enhancing?
It’s happening in day light and people’s faces get extremely washed out and it looks very unnatural.
This issue is happening in broad daylight though. Does night time auto enhance effect daylight photos as well?
HDR should be turned off in the *Photos* app settings! Turning it off in the Camera app settings isn't effective... hope this helps

All photos I posted from my previous comment are also the original photos (no lighting effects, etc were changed or edited).
Okay, chill out dude. I'm aware of all of that. I’m just another person with the same issue and this was my best option so figured I’d share. Jeesh.
