iPhone 12 Pro/Pro Max purple streak/haze

About a week ago I returned a 12 Pro Max that I took right out the box because I kept observing a purple streak only when navigating in the settings menu option, mail, contacts or any list in dark mode.


I purchased another one today hoping it was a rare occurrence yet the issue still persists.


I already tried restoring and setting up both devices as new, hoping it was a software issue but that did not help.

I observed the same issue on several 12 Pro/Pro Max models that friends have.


I will be returning the device yet again till Apple resolves the issue.

Kind of took the excitement out of such a much anticipated release 😕

Happening with my iPhone 12 as well that I just got 3 days ago. I didn’t think anything of it at first, just made an excuse like “well maybe it’s a new kind of screen and this is normal” but I had asked my sister and her phone doesn’t do this. Apple will be sending me a replacement thankfully. Disappointing to see phones be sent out like this though.
