iPhone 12 Pro/Pro Max purple streak/haze

Ive had my 12 pro for about a month now and have had this same problem from the start. It seems more noticeable when using dark mode in a dark room. Apple support guys just advised me to update my phone (like I never thought of doing that). Will be visiting apple and getting it replaced under the warranty

Happening with my iPhone 12 as well that I just got 3 days ago. I didn’t think anything of it at first, just made an excuse like “well maybe it’s a new kind of screen and this is normal” but I had asked my sister and her phone doesn’t do this. Apple will be sending me a replacement thankfully. Disappointing to see phones be sent out like this though.

I bought an iPhone 12 a little over a week ago and I'm also noticing this issue. I saw someone on Reddit say that it may have something to do with the software, so I'm holding out for an OTA update before I contact Apple. Let's hope they fix this soon because an $860 phone should not be doing this!

Interesting. Do you happen to have any display settings turned on in Accessibility? I've never seen that before.

Can you provide a screenshot of this purple streak? I've gone into my iPhone 12 Pro and checked in the Menus that you describe while in Dark Mode and do not see what you describe. Since you returned the device, were you able to duplicate the phenomenon for Apple?

Sorry that you are experiencing that, but you will need to continue to work with Apple on that one.
