Update ipod

Am I allowed to update the Ipod 6 generation? The new updates don't come in. My daughter is stuck on the ios update 12.4.9

You are referring to the iPod Touch 6th Generation. OR You are referring to an iPhone 6. Regardless of which that is, the answer is the same. Neither of the devices listed above can be updated past iOS 12.x.x.

You need an iPod Touch 7th Generation to update to iOS 14 OR you need an iPhone 6s to update to iOS 14.
