Old MacBook Air

Hi all,

My beloved (but old) MacBook air died on me last week.

I was using it and al of a sudden the keyboard was not responding anymore. I closed it and when trying to switch it back on, it wouldn't pass the opening sound and blank screen.

After trying all the commands recommended in the forums and after a live apple chat, I was advised to take the computer somewhere.

Today they advised me the logic board is dead and it needs replacing. As the computer is too old, they don;t produce new ones, therefore computer is dead.

My question: how do I find a second hand logic board for my old computer to try and replace it?

Hi,

Not sure which MacBook Air you have, though try to dig in eBay, you could find the logic board for your MacBook Air.

I think it's quite hard work to replace logic board, though.
