Unable to delete MS Onedrive folder

I need to delete Onedrive offline files that are taking up space on my iMac.

Right-clicking on the folder does not provide an option for "Move to Bin", nor am I able to drag the folder to the bin.

The sub-title under "Sharing & Permissions" of "Get Info" says - "You can only read", which could be the reason why I am unable to delete the folder. However, the "Privilege" column says that I have "Read and Write" access, while "Everyone" had "No Access". This is despite entering administrator password etc. (Please see the screenshot attached)

Any help would be much appreciated!

Try booting into Safe Mode by booting with the Shift key held down and try to reset permissions and delete the folder from there.  Then reboot normally.

NOTE: Safe Mode boot can take up to 10 minutes as it's doing the following;

• Verifies your startup disk and attempts to repair directory issues, if needed

• Loads only required kernel extensions (prevents 3rd party kernel/extensions from loading)

• Prevents Startup Items and Login Items from opening automatically

• Disables user-installed fonts

• Deletes font caches, kernel cache, and other system cache files

Thank you very much for your responses!

I did contact Microsoft support, as they are the app developer for OneDrive. Went over several troubleshooting options with the MS Support person. None of them worked.

So, ended up formatting the disk and setting it up as a new machine (as I had backup in Time Machine). It seems to have solved the problem!

Once again, thank you!
