hoursMinutesAsAdjective.cat folder opens automatically after log in on macbook

In the search box type Login Items. it will bring up a window.

Click on Login Items. This will open System Preferences.

I had already removed it before taking a screenshot. So at the bottom, you see the + and - Signs. Click on hoursMinutesAsAdjective.cat then click -. Restart your MacBook and it will be gone.

I am a complete computer idiot, but I do try keep up with my macOS downloads so i just did Ventura and started getting the same thing on start-up. I have not idea what it is, what its for and how to get rid of it.

I have this same problem and it seems like when I open them they contain my past downloads. The strange part is when I try to open those same downloads anywhere else they will not open and show in a lighter color as they are un-clickable.

I'm using an M1 iMac and I've done what you said, the folder no longer appears in the login items list but the folder still opens on start-up! I've done a restart and a shutdown, delay and restart and its still there.... Any ideas?

Please don't be offended but sometimes it is worthwhile to retrace your steps and make sure you really did what you think you did. Peter's suggestion worked when I did it. I hope you get it working. Good luck.

Mine were batch files of my Downloads. It is in the archive anyway. Just stopping it from launching will not harm anything.
