Can't connect my MX Anywhere 2S mouse to my new Macbook Air M1

Hello,

I just bought the new Macbook Air. I am trying to connect my logitech mouse MX anywhere 2S but it does not work.

Here is what I see when I try to connect it to the bluetooth :

Does anyone know what to do in that case ?

I have an M1 Mac and an MX Anywhere 2s and 3 and experienced the same issue, but I found a workaround:

Fortunately, Logitech MX Mouses all come with a Logitech Unifying Receiver in the box – it looks like a small thumb drive. Plug this into your computer and connect your mouse to it using the Logi Options app. Your mouse will behave the same as it would over Bluetooth.

If you lost yours, you can buy a replacement for around $14 online or at a store like Best Buy or Staples. If you can't find one in store, you can buy a cheap Logitech mouse which will come with a receiver; this is sometimes even cheaper.

Hope this helps!

Hi etienneflorent,

Thanks for coming to Apple Support Communities for help today with connecting a Logitech mouse to your new MacBook Air.

It sounds like you are properly connecting the mouse via Bluetooth: Use an Apple wireless keyboard, mouse, or trackpad with Mac.

It's possible there is a compatibility issue between this third-party mouse and Big Sur or even Apple Silicon if this is the type of MacBook Air you just purchased.

We'd advise checking with Logitech to see if there is a firmware update required to connect with your Mac.

Have a fantastic day!
