Which keys don't work?
Do you see the keys being pressed when you view them with the Keyboard Viewer?
Are there any System Settings that may be intercepting or changing the keyboard behavior?

This was my solution:
Turn OFF Mouse Keys in Accessibility Preferences and all the keys of the keyboard are working fine.
