The 1,q,a,z keys stopped working on my Macbook Pro

Does it happen when booted in Safe Mode?

Start up your Mac in safe mode - Apple Support


Are the keys sticky?


If your keyboard has been mapped to a different key, you can check for text replacements on your keyboard by going to  > Settings > Keyboard > Text Replacements.


One other thing you can do is use the Keyboard Viewer to verify the key presses. Just press the keys and see if they show on the Keyboard Viewer. To use the Keyboard Viewer, check you this page:
