You can use the keyboard viewer to see if they are registering...

note: issues with single keys, keys associated on the diagonal, or keys associated in horizontal row
typically indicates a hardware issue...
cracked circuit traces can be intermittent and heat can open/close these faults
A work a round is use a external keyboard and compare your results.
keyboards are replaced not repaired; this would be a top case replacement which can include the trackpad/keyboard/battery
In or out of warranty you can get a free over the counter 'Apple Service Diagnostics' test /assessment
