Updating Billing Address on Apple ID Website

Hey guys,

Since I've reached out to Apple Support several times trying to get this corrected and no one has been able to give me a correct answer, I thought I might as well outline what I did to fix this issue on my own.

The issue as it stands is this: Having the Apple Card as your default payment method under your Apple ID, the Billing Address displayed on the Apple ID website -or the Apple ID section on a Mac's Settings- is not correct, even though the Billing Address listed within the Apple Card on your Wallet App is correct. This happened to me after applying for an Apple Card and then moving to a different address.

This was extremely annoying, and since it wasn't causing any issues with payments I let it go for a while, but when I actually tried to correct the Billing Address on the Apple ID website I found out that all the fields were grayed out/non-editable. So I took a different approach and finally got it fixed.

The steps I followed were:

1. 1. Make sure your Apple Card has the right Billing Address within the Wallet app.
   2. Added a second Credit Card to my Wallet, one with my correct Billing Address.
   3. Make that second card your default payment method both in Wallet and the Payments & Shipping section of your iCloud (under Settings > <Your Name> if using an iPhone).
   4. Remove the Apple card from both the Wallet app and the Payments & Shipping section. I was a little scared at first of doing this since I didn't know if I could add it back easily through Wallet, but you can.
   5. Go to the Apple ID website and make sure the second card is now listed as the default payment method.
   6. Go to your Wallet app and add the Apple Card again. Turns out the information is stored somewhere and adding it back is as easy as following the prompts for Credit Card>Apple Card.
   7. Make the Apple Card the default payment method for both your Wallet app and the Payments & Shipping section within Settings > <Your Name> on your iPhone.
   8. Check the Apple ID website/Mac section after this. Your Billing Address should be correct now.

I understand this is not an official tutorial or support article, but since I saw a few folks out there facing this issue I thought I'd pitch in and try to help. After all, these products are great and we can all contribute to make them even better.
