I purchased an iphone 11 during the Black Friday Gift Card offer, but I have not received my gift card.

I contacted Apple support and they were very helpful. They explained that you are only eligible for the gift card if you purchased the phone outright with cash or debit card. If you purchased on a finance option then you are not.

I was also VERY disappointed today to be told by the Apple rep that I was not entitled to the gift card for the same reasons stated above. So surprised that Apple would bate and switch this way and not notify clearly during the purchasing process at Apple.com that only unlocked phones qualify. I would have happily purchased an unlocked phone had they made this clear. I will not be buying anything more from Apple.com.

Thank you for letting us know. I paid in full for my iPhone SE with my Visa card, so that won’t apply to me. Still so disappointed in how they are handling this. They had to know they would catch many of us in the bate and switch come-on.

I got the same response from them. The phone was not even activated. This was really a scam promotion.

I purchased a 13" MacBook Air to discover Apple's deceptive Black Friday promotion was a scam.

The computer will be returned tomorrow and I'll look for a Microsoft product.
