iphone 12 mini screen flash in blue

This has happened 3x to me in the past day. The screen doesn’t entirely go blue, but anything that is white turns that turquoise / blue color for about 1-4 seconds. iPhone 12 mini. Luckily my phone is still in the return period so I will return and try a new device. My original 12 has not had this issue since I got it on launch day.

Same issue with my 12 Pro Max 512GB. It just happened twice today and I reset it (with +, - and hold the power button for a few seconds until it restart) hoping it doesn't happen again. First time ever and hope also the last.

Happened to me too im using iphone 12 only a month old. I had to reboot my phone. Happened to me once.

I’ve experienced a similar problem on the iPhone 12. The entire screen will get a light blue tint for a second then go back to normal. This happened shortly after I bought my iPhone so I went and exchanged it for another. Over a month later, it happened again. This time happening twice in a row, each time for about 1 second. Not sure what to do at this point since it’s my second device doing this.

Since the blue flash I didn’t even care to do a Hard reboot as what you did and thankfully haven’t seen it since though. However I did go for a tech support and they tried and pull the analytical data thereafter but couldn’t find a thing. The only option is wait and see if appears again and get the phone to the repair centre if for a repair or an exchange. This I know would be a pain. They would either keep the phone and return after a couple of days (which would be project in itself)... & replace? they’re not so sweet in here in India.

Hasn’t repeated since the first instance I reported around a month back. Haven’t taken any steps and Apple support even told me to get it checked physically at store if repeats... I’m sure would be a waste of time. Seems a surge that happened due to some unknown reasons. Have ignored it all for the moment

I have had the same issue as the OP with a light blue flash on my iPhone 12 mini screen. It is not as long as OP. Maybe 1 second. But the entire screen flashes a bright turquoise color and then goes back to normal. I don’t know if this is a hardware issue or what?

Just experienced the same issue. Split second everything turned turquoise. But my phone also runs empty without use after about 4-5 hours and wireless charging does not work. Battery health status is normal. Need to contact apple support. Something seems an issue with my phone. Very disappointed given the cost of this device.

I have had the iPhone 12 now for a couple months and it’s done this to my screen twice now. It just randomly turns turquoise and stops on its own. I just don’t know if it’s a glitch or something I did to it by dropping it or something like that.

I've got an iPhone 12 Pro Max and this has happened to me a few times.

It's not that every single part of the screen turns blue/turquoise - it's a lot of it, but I can still see the text I was looking at.

The blue flash lasts about 1-1.5 seconds with me.

Same issue as litlounge031, exactly as described. Observed in lower ambient light so maybe a malfunction while screen is dimming?

12 mini has done the same thing 2 or 3 times. Last time was right after flipping the switch to silent mode. It happens so quickly that I can’t get a picture and screen shots come out normal.

Just had this happen several times on iPhone 12- has never happened before, phone is 5 weeks old. It’s nearly an aqua blue colour, on all the darkest areas of the screen. I’m in a dark bedroom with lamp on. Gave me a fright.

I screenshotted it, but the photo is normal colours, despite definitely being taken during the blue flash.

Same thing happening on my iPhone 12 Pro Max (amongst other issues).

With this, switching from Android to the top iPhone variant is beginning to feel very very foolish.

Does anybody know if there is any acknowledgment from Apple on this issue?

Hoping it’s a software glitch and not a hardware issue.
