10 year old DVCPRO HD Quicktimes

Hi,

I've just restored a bunch of files from LTO that were archived about 10 years ago. Many of them are DVCPRO HD Quicktimes exported from Final Cut Pro 7. When I try opening them in QuickTime X on Mojave 10.14.6 they just freeze up my system. Very short videos open up just fine (2-3 minutes), but anything that is longer (90 - 120 minutes) just hangs there.

Compressor seems to recognize them but it still freezes when trying to open. I know the files aren't corrupt. Is there something about being on Mojave with Quicktime X that makes for a problem opening these? Do I need Final Cut Pro X in order to open these? I have updated to the latest Pro Video formats on Mac OS.

Mac mini, macOS 10.14
