lost notes

hello. i was trying to go through my icloud and was making some things where they did not need to be on all my devices. Well.... I clicked on Notes thinking they will stay in the devices they are already on but now ALLLL my notes from my iPhone are completely gone. Is there any way I can get those back? TIA.
