Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities! It sounds like you have a process that is taking up a lot of your CPU memory. If you quit the process from within the Activity Monitor, it may restart, but does it still use the same amount of CPU usage? We'd like you to try that with the following steps in this article to Quit an app or process in the Activity Monitor on Mac.
