Big Sur Finder not showing iPhone 11

iMac 14.01 and iPhone IOS 14.2

I no longer can back up iPhone to iMac

All worked OK before Big Sur

New USB cable tried and all USB ports.

No joy!

Anyone any comments?

The mystery of the missing iPhone in BigSur Finder has been solved.

In Finder preferences under General, a long way down the list is a tick box for CDs DVDs and IOS devices.

The only item not ticked!

I guess, "Them's the breaks."

Hello Kaufmann87

Thank you for your reply.

  1. 200GB of data on cloud? I don't think so...
  2. I like to stay and have control of my data were possible .
  3. Nor do I like what appears to be a serious bug!
  4. It has taught me a lesson to be extremely careful with new OS x
  5. How is your Big Sur working with iPhone 11 or 12 ?

Regards
