How to toggle "screen auto lock" from your default to temporarily stay on?

I normally make sure my phone auto locks within a few minutes, both for security and battery reasons. Is there a way to quickly switch between that and "Never" or set a specific time longer than 5 min to allow using different apps without the screen resetting (and needing password again or having to open the app again) Kinda like keeping it lit up like an always on watch display but for a specific app.

More Detail:

I want to do this while plugged in for example with the timer/stopwatch while im at my desk (limited battery or security issues and makes using the apps faster for me while multitasking)

I have seen other posts, but nothing CLEARLY like a solution (and then the thread is closed) any thoughts or guidance?

I did some more digging. To solve this issue, you can use Guided Access, and change the lock screen time to "never"

You can then toggle between guided access being on or off by adding it to the accessibility menu, and then all you have to do is open the app you want to stay open and then turn on guided access (with no other limitations so you can use that app normally)

This is allowing me to keep my stop watch open so I can continue to add "laps" while doing projects or tasks.

I want to be able to switch or toggle between two settings in this part, at least temporarily in iOS.
