The supplied icloud was unable to unlock this volume

Hi there

Charger died during update and now when trying to switch on, faced with a folder and a "?". Did what Apple suggested and booted in recovery mode and got asked for apple ID amd password. Did this and then it says recovering firevault then "the supplied iCloud account was unable to unlock this volume". Any help would be greatly appreciated!
