What should I do when my macbook has been stolen?
Macbook has been stolen and the Find My app doesn't really do any good if the computer isn't connected to the internet.

First, contact the police. Second, contact your insurance company. In the UK most standard home insurance policies cover individual items up to £1500 in value.
You can still mark you device as lost and erase its contents when you log into iCloud here:
You may not get your laptop back but at least you know that all your data won't be accessible.
