I can reset all my settings but it won’t let me erase all the data etc (factory reset) how do I do this? As when I click erase all data the cog just spins for ages

Thank you this is what I have been doing but nothing happens. It doesn’t ask for a passcode the little loading spinner just continuously spins??

It just does this nothing else happens?
I don’t have a computer so does that mean I can’t factory reset it?
No, do not use that option on the iPhone.
You need to connect your iphone to a computer running iTunes, then you need to follow the instructions provided in the support article. Click on the following (written in blue) title:--> Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings – Apple Support
