Markup in photo editing not working.

Since the last update on iPhone and iPad Pro, 14.2, the photo markup does not work! I can use the text and arrow function, but none of the pens or drawing features are working. Thought it would get a ‘fix’ when there was another update, but nothing. Please help! I use this feature frequently for work. Thank you.

Markup on iPad is not working, I have noticed that I can not edit my photos or screenshots with “markup”. I used to do this all the time. I can no longer edit photos/screenshots for the last few weeks maybe longer. Yes I have tried with both the apple pen and another pen along with my finger. I have rebooted my iPad a few times and it is up to date with updates. I have read another users same issue but they realized it was about there apple pen. Any other people having same issue? thanks

ipad photo markup tool I’ve an iPad Pro, iOS 14.4.2. Upon trying to markup a photograph the tool appears as a circle. In the past I could expand it into a long rounded-end rectangle which displayed all the tools available. Attempting to expand it recently the rectangle will not stay open. As soon as I lift my finger the tools collapse back into a circle. This means I can’t even add text any longer. Up to a week ago I had no issue. Have have a similar issue on my iPhone SE, same iOS version. Only in this case the markup tool stays expanded. However when I attempt to select the Silas do editing nothing happens. Don’t know what’s going on.

Some users reported, that markup is working better, if we add an adjustment to to photo before trying to add a markup. Try to crop the photo slightly and only then add a mark-up. Does it work then?
