Issue pairing Phillips Hue bridge to HomeKit app

I have a new Phillips Hue Bridge and a home with multiple Hue lights that are working fine. I tried to add the Hue bridge to the Apple Home app for the HomeKit system and when I scan or manually enter the 8 digit QR code on the Home app/add Accessory, I see an icon that I can select but it is not the Hue device but instead a Roku device! Anyone seen this strange issue??

Hey there, Marko.

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities! Thanks for posting about the trouble you're having with getting your Phillips Hue Bridge added to your HomeKit. We may be able to provide a bit of guidance.

Is this the only piece not working as expected with your Home setup? If so, review Add a HomeKit accessory to the Home app just to make sure that all the steps are being completed in the correct order, and if the item will still not appear as expected, you may want to contact the manufacturer to see about potential specialized steps for that piece of equipment.

Take care.
